God, I’ve Arrived…I’m Home

I’m just going to do what I normally do, that is, asking you, as you are here, to be comfortable in your chair.
And then begin by just closing your eyes. And taking a few deep breaths, and being reminded in your own breath, that God wants you here.
And recalling even in the creation story, of how God breathed into man and in that breath, man became a living being. Allow your own breath to affirm you with the life, with you, the life that God is giving you.
Then as you are sitting and your breath has become a little bit slower, or more natural, I just want you to say these words back to God, to yourself internally.
God, I’ve arrived… I’m home.
I’m all here now.
I’ve stopped running.
In you I dwell.
Within you, I’m solid and free.
You are my home.
Let me repeat those just one more time.
God, I’ve arrived… I’m home.
I’m all here now.
I’ve stopped running.
In you I dwell.
Within you, I’m solid and free.
You are my home.
Now, to let go of the prayer, and just allow yourself to breathe…to let your own breath be an affirmation of the life you have within God.
Then I usually conclude with – Come, Holy Spirit.
And as you were stilling yourself, and found yourself praying those words, or saying those words out loud or internally to God – Where did you notice where you wanted to spend more time, or what you resonated with?
